Welcome back!

Part five:

You don’t have to take my word regarding the deceptive personality types roaming around in the world but I do hope you will do the research and forearm yourself. I've experienced deceptive personality types for myself and I've learned to take  the necessary precautions to ensure to the best of my ability that it doesn't happen again.    Light bulb!

In part five I'll be providing you with real life stories and websites that you can utilize to forearm yourself and to protect your teens if you choose to forearm them.

There are people out there that think that the world is getting better; people that choose to maintain a positive outlook on life and give all people the benefit of the doubt.

Personally, I think that people are growing more spiritually and have high hopes of the world changing for the better and are doing everything they can to promote change; but let’s also be realistic. While doing everything we can to bring about change and to grow spiritually individually, not everyone shares those same hopes; not everyone is on the same spiritual path at the same time.

There are human beings in this world that have motives and intentions on hurting others simply because someone hurt them, and because being able to devour, control and possess the innocent or inexperienced, is a form of power and control.

Please – don’t be misguided by every philosophy of oneness, togetherness, consciousness and the like; don’t allow those concepts to cloud your judgment nor your children's.   Be realistic – we live in a world that teaches lessons and everyone isn't coming your way to bless you. Pass the test of lessons that come your way by being empowered with knowledge!!

So let’s move on to profiles.

I’ll provide websites so you can read for yourself!

Ever meet someone incapable of giving, love ? Do you even believe that such a person exists? Do you think that it isn't possible for such a person to con you into welcoming them into your space? Light bulb!  Hope you will do the research!

The Narcissistic

The Psychopath

Only happens in the moves, right?  I’m afraid not folks. And that’s very scary.

These are just a few of the personality types that you could be welcoming into your space; unaware that you have encounter a wolf in sheep's clothing and finding your self right at the door of hell.

  4. Being realistic is definitely forearmed. It's not about being cynical, but about walking through life with your eyes open. Fantastic post.
Thanks too for the helpful links.

  5. This is very interesting. My children are no longer in their teens, but my daughter dabbles in psychology and I found out through her that my last serious ex-boyfriend fit the sociopath profile, dressed up in smooth behavior.

Your post confirms that. Thank goodness I no longer make those choices!

    1. Psychology is an interesting profession. Being forearmed with knowledge is always a plus!

You just never know who your're going to encounter. I do think all things happen for a reason however, being knowledgable can promote and alter outcomes!

  6. This is a great post and I actually made my children aware of these types the whole time they were growing up and the info has served them well. They're not cynical or paranoid, they're simply aware and I believe we owe our children honesty. Yes, fairy tales are nice and they can come true, however, make sure you're kissing a sociopath on the way to your prince or princess. - Thanks for this Betty. :)

  7. Love your perspective on the subject matter, MiMi! You get the picture! Just being aware of what's out there and making our children aware is what's important! We can't make decisions and choices for them once they are on their own- however we can say that we did our part by providing them with the knowledge before they venture out on their own!

Glad you stopped by, MiMi! Your welcome! Just trying to do my part!

  9. More considerations and warnings in this Part V, I like especially the drawing, as it were, of some of the characters one should beware of. Stuff enaough shared in the form of links, all of that really useful. Probing ever deeper into human nature. Merry Merry Christmas.
